The Supports for Community Living (SCL) waiver is part of Kentucky’s 1915(c) HCBS Medicaid waiver program. SCL provides assistance to individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability to help them live in the community as independently as possible. The SCL waiver also provides a residential component.

The Michelle P. Waiver (MPW) is part of Kentucky’s 1915(c) HCBS Medicaid waiver program. MPW provides assistance to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities to help them live in the community as independently as possible. MPW is home-based community support only.

ELIGIBILITY:

An individual must have an intellectual disability prior to the age of 18 with an IQ of 70 or below with at least 2 deficits in adaptive functioning such as communication, self-care, home living, social or interpersonal skills, use of community resources, self-direction, leisure or health and safety, or employment. Other ways of qualifying include having a physical disability prior to the age of 22 due to cerebral palsy, epilepsy, or any other condition closely related to an intellectual disability and requiring treatment or services, AND three or more deficits or impairments in the areas of self-care, learning, mobility, self-direction, use and understanding of language, or capacity to live independently.
