Michelle P. Waiver Assessments

The Michelle P. Waiver (MPW) is part of Kentucky’s 1915(c) Home–
and Community-Based Services Medicaid waiver program. MPW
provides assistance to individuals with intellectual or developmental

disabilities to help them live in the home or community as inde-
pendently as possible, instead of being institutionalized.

MPW offers a variety of services to support each participant’s goals
and preferences. Services include but are not limited to:

Behavioral supports
Day training
Environmental and minor home adaptation
Personal care
Respite

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
A documented intellectual disability prior to the age of 18 with an IQ
of 70 or below with at least two deficits in adaptive functioning and/or
a developmental disability prior to the age of 22 with at least three
deficits in adaptive functioning.
